UMAC® - Is a light green paste comprised of Pacific Purity Plasma and phytoplankton in it's finished raw material form. It is produced by pumping ocean water directly from the north pacific into one or more of Unique Sea Farms Ltd.'s one million litre tanks. Phytoplankton is naturally present in the water. The multiplying phytoplankton is fed nutrients to excellerate growth and when the time is right for harvesting the phytoplankton batch, the cells are ruptured using a proprietary process. The paste is then collected and sent to either be dried to a powder or turned into a liquid. This process takes 8 to 10 days. This ingredient is used in our cosmetics, skin care, functional food for animals and humans and nutraceuticals. It comes in a powdered or liquid format.

Recent discovery of its effects on testosterone via the saponins it contains - stigmasterol and hecogenin - has made it a must-have ingredient in bodybuilding supplements. Stigmasterol is very similar in structure to testosterone and is believed to attach to the specific receptors in the body that testosterone binds to, thereby causing an effect like that of testosterone. Hecogenin can be converted to compounds whose structures resemble that of testosterone and also have similar effects in the body.
